Winter Date Night Essentials

Winter Date Night Essentials

As much as I’m a homebody, I do love to get cute and go out with friends or my fiancé. This year, there hasn’t been too much of that because of the obvious, which means when I do get the opportunity to go out, I want to get extra cute! I know all my fashion lovers or even people who are tired of being cooped up in the house in PJs every day, feel me on this. That opportunity to go out to dinner feels like an escape and you finally get to open your closet and pick out all the cute clothing that has been sitting there, waiting patiently to see the outside world. Plus you get to play in a little bit of makeup, man…it’s a whole experience now! Lol.

Unfortunately, New York has shut down indoor dining but I was so happy that I was able to get one more date night out with my fiancé before the shutdown. Even though you may not be able to physically go out for date night, it doesn’t mean you can’t get cute for an at-home date night. I love to be comfortable no matter the occasion so I decided to share some comfy, cute, and simple date night essentials for the winter. You can wear these essentials for a night out or if you want to get cute for a night in.

One of my main essentials for a date night in the winter are… you guessed it! Sweater dresses. I love sweater dresses because you can transition them from fall to winter. There are so many different styles and they are literally so COMFORTABLE. Plus, when you’re on a date you don’t have to worry about wanting to unbutton that top button when you get too full. I know y’all know what I’m talking about, lol. The sweater dress I am wearing is from MANGO. It’s ridiculously comfortable and the quality is amazing!

Second on the list for essentials is a statement coat. Unlike any other season, in the winter, your coat is the first thing people see before they can even get a look at your outfit. A statement coat will pop any outfit and top off your entire look while also keeping you warm and cozy. The coat I’m wearing, I purchased a few years ago from Zara and it’s so cozy yet makes such a statement. There are many similar ones out there so I will link a few below.

My last two essentials are a great pair of tall boots and a stylish bag. While I often tend to wear darker colors in the winter, pattern and colored boots will add that spark to darker colors. The boots I am wearing are from Schutz and make any look stand out. When it comes to a bag, I like to top off my outfit with a unique looking bag. The bag I am wearing is from MANGO. Quilted anything is currently in and personally, I am loving the trend. You don’t need to have all of these essentials but having at least one will enhance your winter wardrobe and complete your date night look.
