Current Hair Routine

I’ve been natural for about 5 years now and like everything else I keep my hair routine simple. I am a wash & go kinda girl because it’s the fastest and easiest style for me. Plus, I love to wear my hair in its natural curly, crazy and sometimes messy state. I wash my hair every week and I try to deep condition if not every week then every other week. Sometimes if my hair feels dry then I will co-wash in the middle of the week. Unlike many naturals who strive to use all natural products, I don’t because of the way my budget is set up. Yes, all natural products are good for your hair but if you can’t get your hands on them then just try to stay away from products with sulfates because sulfate tends to make your hair dry. I don’t stick to a particular brand of shampoo, conditioner or cowash because I usually go for what’s on sale. Fact of the matter is I have A LOT of hair and I am heavy handed so I go through products faster than I want to which means I don’t waste money on expensive products when less expensive ones give me the same results.I know everyone has been waiting so long for me to talk about my hair routine, so here it is! My Wash & Go Routine:For months now I have been using the Pantene Gold Series Leave-On Detangling Milk paired with the curling pudding. The Pantene Gold Series Leave-On Detangling Milk literally has become my staple leave on because it works like magic to detangle my curls while I wish it was a bit thicker and a bit more moisturizing, I actually don’t mind it because the curling pudding is both thick and very moisturizing. The only downside is that I go through the bottle very quickly. It’s very watery so I tend to use more than the suggested two pumps per section. I love the curling pudding because a little goes a long way and even if you are heavy handed like me, it doesn’t leave my hair flaky when it dries. I have tried the hydrating butter creme from this line along with the pudding and it also gives me amazing results with A LOT more moisture so I think I will start to use that as the weather gets colder as my hair will need more moisture. Guys I love this line and so far it has given me consistent results to the point where these are my go to products.*Butter creme not pictured because I tried it a few weeks after using these products*I also air dry my hair because I love the body and shine that I get when I do. The only issue with that is my hair takes about 2 full days to completely dry. YES 2 WHOLE DAYS!!Products work better for me in soaking wet hair (this is how I apply all my products in sections)I’m not into hair typing but for those out there who are I would say my hair is a mix of 3b, c and 4a but hey I may be wrong, haha! Decide for yourself : )   (Both products have been applied to my hair) Final ResultsThese pictures are actually day 4 hair because with these products, the more days that go by, the bigger my hair gets and I like it better that way. When my hair dries it's a little crunchy because it dries like a gel so the more I play with it as the days go by, the softer it gets. I actually love this a lot about these products because with my hair being so thick, I don't like when it dries soft and fluffy on the first day because that means by day 4 my hair will be a frizzy mess. The Pantene Gold Series products give me day 6 hair and even on day 6 my hair looks like it was just done. The butter creme combined with the pudding doesn't give me that gel cast the next day so my hair is soft and fluffy as soon as it dries. Surprisingly  but none the less I still get long lasting results. I really love these products and I definitely recommend them!  I just wish they could come in larger sizes because ya girl has too much hair for less than 8oz products :(I pick my roots for a little added volume. My hair shrinks up so much as you can tell from the above picture when my hair is wet.Yes I need a haircut and I will be getting one soon :)*Forgot to mention these products are CHEAP and I recommend getting them at Target or Walmart because they run for about a dollar less than at Walgreens. Thanks for reading,xo
