Midweek Inspiration

Just wanted to share with you all a little style inspiration as well as some motivational inspiration. These past few weeks has been overwhelming and my head has been all over the place. I couldn’t focus on anything because while trying to focus on one thing, my head was thinking about something else I had to get done. After talking to myself (in my head) and talking to God, I finally decided that I needed to slow down and it’s totally ok if I do. I always feel like I am failing myself if I don’t keep up with everything  I am committed to, but let’s face it we are all human. Everyone has their own pace and knows their limit. Way too often we look at others to justify why we can be doing all that we are and even a little more. Then we feel guilty if we are failing to keep up.

Here are a few simple steps I take to help myself little by little overcome this feeling:

  • Sit down and evaluate how you have been feeling lately.
  • Make a list of all the things that keep you busy in your life or things you do on a daily/weekly basis.
  • With all these things you do in mind, think about how you can decrease the time you spend doing them or potentially even cutting them out for things that are more important.
  • PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. Talk to God and ask him to give you the wisdom and knowledge to make the right decisions for you and don’t stop, continue praying.
  • Just do it and make all the necessary changes that will help you.
  • And don’t forget to give yourself something to look forward to at the end of a hard week. Trust me it will help you to keep pushing.

Your outlook will not change automatically and neither will your stress just disappear but if you always keep these steps in mind and use them when you feel overwhelmed then you will see a difference overtime.

Hope this helps anyone who is currently dealing with a lot on their plate but can’t seem to figure out how they will make it through. YOU WILL……YOU GOT THIS!

For this outfit, I had a fun day off from the stress to hang with my boyfriend and of course I shot this look for you guys. Fall has a way of feeling like the beginning of summer one week and feeling like it’s the start of winter the next. For weeks where it feels like the beginning of summer, this is a pretty simple yet chic outfit to rock. This simple but chic shirt dress is from Banana Republic and I paired it with a black cross shoulder bag Michael Kors, sunglasses from Aldo and cow print loafers also from Michael Kors. Remember it’s ok to mix and match similar patterns and prints as long as there is a like color connection.

These items are all sold out now but I got them all on sale. I am working on having these outfits out earlier so you can also catch these sales if you want to purchase anything I am wearing. My schedule is very crazy right now so it is hard to shoot outfits when I purchase them. Remember you also don't have to purchase these same items to get this look. You can get similar pieces and recreate this look.  I am just here to provide the inspiration as I receive it :)

Thanks for reading!
