A few weeks ago I took an afternoon trip with my mom and sister to Austin street in Forest Hills, NY. It’s a nice relaxing area if you are in the mood to do a little shopping and dining. What I love most are all the little boutiques. I take pleasure in owning unique pieces that I know many people don’t own and I often find these pieces in small boutiques.

This romper I found at a boutique called Maiko. I loved the bow around the neck detail that gave it a dress up or dress down feel. I paired it with blush colored pumps I got from Banana Republic and a pine green clutch. For a more casual look, pair it with a casual sandal or a casual pair of sneakers.

I highly recommend shopping at boutiques. For one it’s great to support small businesses and in the process you will also be able to find some pretty cool pieces.
